I am an experienced sports journalist, based in the wonderful city of Liverpool in the United Kingdom - home of The Beatles, two cathedrals, exquisite architecture and two of the biggest teams in world soccer.
I have been fortunate enough to work for some of the biggest media outlets in the UK, including the Press Association, Trinity Mirror and News International.
And I have interviewed high-profile sporting figures such as David Beckham, Mike Tyson, Johan Cruyff and Sir Alex Ferguson during my career.
I am an Everton fan but appreciate the joy and beauty of soccer played by all great teams and players.
Most recently, I covered football and powerlifting at London 2012 for the Olympic and Paralympic News Service.
Now I'm delighted to join the Bleacher Report team as a sports writer and looking forward to communicating with fellow supporters and new soccer fans from across the globe.
Thanks for the edits, Ian.
Thanks Ian, appreciate it. Still have to commit the date rule to memory, ugh.
Thanks, I have to get the hang of that date rule. Sorry about that.
Thanks for the edits, Ian. Always appreciated.
Of course I get the "RasenBallsport" element throws things off in this case!
Hi Ian, cheers for the Confed Cup edit. I was just wondering if that's our rule on "RB Leipzig" and that they should always be referred to as such? It's just I've seen "Red Bull Salzburg" and "New York Red Bulls" written out as such everywhere for years now so was looking to clear up?
